Infinity and Beyond
The Proxy Company's next steps and plans for the future.
Published on April 15, 2025 by Jack Wind

I've always wanted an army of myself.
Not out of ego, but out of frustration with the sequential nature of reality – the inability to parallelize my own attention and execution. I can’t clone myself, but maybe I can build the next best thing: a digital workforce that executes tasks exactly the way I would, with my standards, my priorities, my taste.
That pursuit led me here. Building the Proxy Structuring Engine and Proxy Base Agent wasn't the goal, they are a part of my larger vision. To truly build without compromise in the age of AI, I first needed reliability.
Having created this foundation, my next act is clear: applying this technology to the ultimate test case – the company that built them.
Why focus inward first? Because automating The Proxy Company is the only way to ensure that it's always aligned with my vision. I envision this quite literally: dedicated machines on my desk running specialized PBA instances (my "proxies"), a digital staff carrying out their tasks: autonomous, visible, and manageable.
It's how I plan to build the patterns required for my real next step: The Proxy Platform.
The Proxy Platform will be an application enabling deep agent personalization, grounded in open source principles. It will share the power of reliable, personalized agents beyond our walls, allowing anyone to shape AI according to their own taste and needs.
Imagine agents performing tasks in a way that reflects your specific interaction habits and preferences – that level of 'taste' alignment, currently seen only in content algorithms, but for your unique voice and views. This platform will be human-centric and built with heart, and customers will always own their data on this platform.
Pursuing this demands a commitment to process and quality. This won't be rushed. Each automated component will be built methodically, tested rigorously, and refined until it meets the high standards we've set. You can trust this process because building reliably is the process we follow.
This goal – automating the company – serves a dual purpose. It’s the ultimate validation of the technology I have built, demonstrating its power in a complex, real-world scenario. And personally, it represents the next stage of creative exploration and expression I've been working towards. The challenge is significant, but my vision and my tools are aligned. This undertaking feels like the logical culmination of my life's experience.
But building higher requires unwavering foundations. Rest assured, the open-source PSE and PBA will continue to be actively maintained and improved. Expect regular updates and maintenance - development will reflect the community and needs of our users. We are already integrating the PSE with cutting-edge inference engines like vLLM and SGLang, as well as adding native vision capabilities to the PBA.
My immediate focus is crafting that 'digital workforce' for internal use – defining workflows, building specialized agents. This hands-on development directly informs the architecture and capabilities of the user-facing Proxy Platform, ensuring it’s grounded in practical application. We need to perfect these patterns internally to confidently offer this empowering capability to everyone.
This journey - from the PSE to the PBA to The Proxy Platform - represents more than just technological progress. It's about returning agency to the individual in an age of overwhelming complexity. By building systems that reliably execute according to personal taste and standards, we're creating a future where technology truly serves as an extension of human will and creativity.
I invite you to join me as we explore these infinite possibilities.
